In 1927 the Lanston Monotype Corporation produced a Greek type called New Hellenic, in consultation with British Museum Library curator Victor Scholderer, and based on a monoline type dating from 15th century Venice. GFS digitized the typeface and later added more weights, styles, and a complete Latin alphabet.
